In-House Painter
Location: Washington Village Apartments Type: Full Time
Job Description

A busy Regional Property Manager/Owner Company in Greenfield, IN is looking for a full-time In-House Painter to work under the direction of a Maintenance Supervisor. We are looking for an individual with experience in general maintenance as well as an interest and experience in specialties such as drywall and painting. Only motivated/self-starters should apply for these positions.

SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,200.00

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds.
  • Paint vacant units.
  • Install and repair drywall, trim, counters, appliances, etc. to vacant units on turn.
  • Clean units that are leased so they are ready for move-in.
  • Clean appliances and windows in vacant units.
  • Clean bathrooms and bedrooms in vacant units.
  • Sweep, and mop as appropriate, tiled surfaces.
  • Replace burned light bulbs in the units.
  • Pick up trash from the grounds
  • Clean hallways and breezeways
  • Sweep the entryway to the front door.
  • Wipe down the front door and glass side lights and light fixtures.
  • Wipe down all horizontal surfaces in the public hallways (radiators, rails, ledges, etc.)
  • Vacuum carpet
  • Report damaged or dirty apartment doors to the management office.
  • Report loose rails or steps in stairs to the maintenance/management office.
  • Report any other unsafe condition to the maintenance/management office.
  • Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Communicate effectively and display a professional manner when dealing with supervisors, co-workers, residents and individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Work effectively as a team member, participating actively and constructively.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner by following all Company safety procedures for the operation of equipment, machinery and hazardous substances and chemicals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in routine maintenance, drywall work and painting.
  • Experience with cleaning apartments.
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
